My Journey: From Faith to Purpose

Hi there! I’m Ingrid, the founder of Barehouse Brand. 

I’m a loving wife, a proud mom of three grown children, and a dog mom to four fur babies. Family means the world to me, but above all, my love for God comes first.

Several years ago, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. As my MS progressed, I began experiencing weakness in my hands that made everyday tasks surprisingly difficult. Simple things like holding a brush, applying makeup, or gripping small items became frustrating challenges.

During a difficult MS relapse in November 2020, I experienced firsthand how exhausting these daily tasks could become. In that moment, I realized that if I was struggling, many others were likely facing the same obstacles every day.

That realization led to the creation of The HandyBand.

The HandyBand is an adaptive wristband designed to help people with weak grip, hand injuries, arthritis, neurological conditions, or limited hand function hold everyday items more easily. It allows users to secure objects like makeup brushes, utensils, toothbrushes, pens, and more, making daily routines more manageable.

Barehouse Brand was built from that experience. My mission is to create thoughtful tools and products that make everyday life easier and help people maintain independence.

My faith has guided this entire journey. In the hardest moments, I’ve leaned on the promise found in 2 Timothy 1:7:

"For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control."
